Steele Space 6 is Jim Steele. Originally from the inspiring landscapes of North Wales ( where he filled countless sketchbooks of Snowdonia) his early Art and Design career was taken at Parc Menai in Bangor, acquiring a BTEC 1st Dip, and GNVQ 2&3. He was then trained to Degree level in Illustration in the late 90’s, achieving a BA (Hons) and HND in Design at Glyndwr University, Wrexham.
Inspired by the techniques of Alan Lee, Rackham, Hokusai, Hiroshige and Blake, Jims ideas have elements of ancient mythology, science fiction, pure nature and light. The mediums that Jim uses are diverse - layered watercolours over detailed indian ink drawings, pure black acrylics mixed with liquitex varnish medium - applied with Asian brushes, charcoal, acrylics of varied size, and photography and mixed media.
Jim hopes you enjoy viewing his Portfolio, Art and Illustration.
Thank you for your time.
